AECSD holds The XIX International Conference of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) «Post-trading infrastructure in the AECSD space» September 21-22

Dushanbe, 2023, September 21-22 The XIX International Conference of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) «Post-trading infrastructure in the AECSD space» was held.

CJSC «Central Depository» and the AECSD Secretariat became the official organizers of the event was. The event was sponsored by PJSC «Moscow Exchange MICEX-RTS» (gold sponsor), Cbonds (silver sponsor), Central Securities Depository JSC (Kazakhstan) (silver sponsor), INFINITUM Assets Services (bronze sponsor), LLC «Prime Invest» (bronze sponsor) and CASE (Tajikistan) (bronze sponsor). The conference was attended by representatives of Armenia, Russia, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, as well as the Association of Global Custodians (AGC) and Raiffeisenbank. Besides, representatives of government bodies and participants of the stock market of Tajikistan took part in the conference.

On the first day of the event, the most important topics related to central depositories, financial market infrastructure and various aspects of integration in the AECSD space were discussed in the format of a panel discussion moderated by Adil Mukhamedzhanov, Chairman of the Management Board of Central Securities Depository JSC. All the guests of the conference were involved in the discussion of the best practices of the central depositories and other representatives of the infrastructure, the peculiarities of the functioning of different markets and obstacles to modernization.

As part of the ceremony, the Chairmanship of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories was transferred to the Central Depository of Turkey (MKK), which will act as the organizer of the XX Anniversary Conference of the AECSD. The conference participants were also introduced to a new member of the Association — the Central Securities Depository of Iran (CSDI)

The AECSD International Conference is an annual event that brings together a large number of specialists and the expert community interested in financial market issues. The Conference serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas on the development and expansion of depository activities, and also provides an opportunity for depositories and interested parties in the Eurasian region to exchange information and experience.
