Foundation date         18 September 1997

  1. Civil Law of the Azerbaijan Republic dated 1 September, 2000;
  2. Order of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic “On national depository system”, dated 14 May, 1997;
  3. Standards of depository activities, approved by the State Committee for Securities under auspices of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic under number 109 on 15 July 2005.

President

He was born on 5 January, 1959 in Baku.  
In 1981 graduated from Moscow Management Institute named after S. Ordzhonikidze, faculty of economic cybernetics.
Became President of the National Depository Center on 11 November, 2005


Ownership Structure

100% state ownership: the State Committee for Securities under auspices of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic.


Main Functions

  1. Securities Safekeeping;
  2. Recording ownership rights on uncertificated securities;
  3. Maintenance of shareholder register;
  4. Registration of pledge;
  5. Registration of the change of securities ownership;
  6. Allocation of international securities identification numbers for securities issued in Azerbaijan.

International Cooperation

  1. From 2004 NDC is a co-founder of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) and its full member;
  2. In 2008 became a full member of the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA);
  3. In 2008 became a full member of the International Securities Services Association (ISSA).
